The Right to Read shares the stories of an NAACP activist, a teacher, and two American families who fight to provide our youngest generation with the most foundational indicator of life-long success: the ability to read. A reception will be held in the theater lobby from 7:00-7:30PM.
NYC’s Deputy Chancellor of Early Childhood Education Dr. Kara Ahmed, Ed.D. will provide welcoming remarks before the screening, and the event will conclude with a conversation between Brooklyn Org’s President & CEO Dr. Jocelynne Rainey, educators, and local parents.
